once apon atime
there were two cows.
they were milk-cows and wanted desperately to be steers.

after years of servitude at the animal farm,

the idea of steering was a learning-curve for them.

they started practising steering by delegating to other species at the animal farm.

they gave the happy pigs the job of chook-feeding.

pigs are not good at this and the task interupted their eating.

the steers delegated to the spiders - the task of mending doors.

Insects started to lay eggs everywhere and the wood rotted, because the spiders were too busy fixing doors to trap the insects.
the steers didn't know what the farmer had worked out with the spiders.

The spiders and pigs finally worked out that the milk-cows were sending them on bum-steers.

So the bum-steers talked the house-cat to become a bum-steerer.

The cat was an indoor cat.
Not realising that the cat was also being made a fool of
Indoor cat stepped outside to follow the instructions of the bum-steers
